Evil comes to the cage accompanied by The final countdown. DeNomee has chosen I'm country as his entrance music. Juvintude DeNomee has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Guguinha Evil's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeNomee uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Evil.
DeNomee just misses with a punch to the body.
Juvintude DeNomee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

DeNomee feints and as Evil raises his hands in defense, DeNomee changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Evil is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
DeNomee should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Evil working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because DeNomee has passed into half guard!
Evil tries to get to full guard but DeNomee has control of the leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Evil is breathing heavily.
Evil flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
DeNomee is trying to control the action in half guard but Evil is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Evil tries to roll over but DeNomee keeps him under control.

DeNomee seems to be looking for submissions.

DeNomee stands up from half guard.
Evil gets cracked there but stands up to it.

It looks like Guguinha Evil has been cut.

DeNomee throws a jab when Evil was well out of range.

DeNomee changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Evil looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Evil is rocked!

DeNomee is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Evil knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

DeNomee is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Evil has escaped the position, nice work there.
DeNomee is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Evil will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Evil is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

DeNomee thows a huge punch but Evil dodges it nicely.

DeNomee looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Evil is refusing to be controlled, as DeNomee sits in half guard.
Evil won't allow DeNomee to pass to mount.

DeNomee is looking for a kimura but Evil is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for DeNomee to get the leverage.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

DeNomee scores a takedown into full mount!

DeNomee jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Evil is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Evil and DeNomee has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
You can see the frustration on Evil's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

DeNomee thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
DeNomee wants to lay and pray for a moment but Evil keeps working.

DeNomee grinds an elbow into Evil's temple.

DeNomee stands up and beckons Evil to his feet.

DeNomee tries to keep at a distance but Evil has taken the fight into the clinch.
Evil jumps guard but DeNomee stands there with Evil around his waist. Evil gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
DeNomee lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Evil takes a shot to the head.

DeNomee pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

DeNomee moves into range and clinches up with Evil.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

DeNomee fails with the takedown.

Evil bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Evil is looking to take a break and control but DeNomee is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
DeNomee trying his best to control but Evil has mounted him.
Evil with a couple of short strikes.
DeNomee wants to hold on but Evil pushes him away.

Evil working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
DeNomee is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Evil goes for an armbar but DeNomee turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from DeNomee.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

DeNomee gets to his feet - Evil follows without any prompting.
DeNomee misses with a hook. Evil ducked under it nicely.
DeNomee looks to land a left hand but Evil moved out of range nicely.
DeNomee throws a hook but Evil blocks it.
DeNomee shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Evil counters with a shoot takedown. DeNomee fights it but they end up in guard.
Evil will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Evil chips away with some ground and pound.
Evil wants to control from the top but DeNomee keeps moving.
Evil passes DeNomee's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Evil in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. DeNomee tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Evil!
