The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick from Kitty misses.

Pena gets tackled into the cage by Kitty. Kitty maintains the clinch.
Pena is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Kitty is keeping busy.
Kitty is looking to break free of the clinch but Pena has double underhooks.
Kitty is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Pena is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Kitty is trying to break free.
Pena jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kitty walks away with a smile on his face. Pena gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Kitty throws a series of punches but Pena avoids them all with ease.
Pena shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kitty defends it nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pena slips a straight right by Kitty.
Pena is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Kitty.
Hello Kitty seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kitty moves into the clinch.

Pena manages to pull guard.
Kitty would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Kitty must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Kitty stands up and waves to Pena to follow him.
Pena avoids a punch combination nicely.

Kitty has managed to clinch.
Kitty has had enough of the clinch but Pena keeps him there for the moment.
Pena tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kitty smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Laurence Pena. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Pena shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Pena forces Kitty back against the cage and clinches.
Kitty is trying to push Pena away but Pena has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Kitty breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kitty misses with a double jab

and Pena counters with a takedown into side control.
Kitty wants to get back to his feet but Pena is dominant here and he's now got Kitty's back!
Pena could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Kitty is trying to stand back up.

Kitty has hold of Pena's leg, trying to break free but it's let Pena lock up a rear naked choke! This could be big trouble! Kitty is turning an unusual color here… he's out! Pena throws him to one side and jumps onto the cage to celebrate with his fans.
