Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alla Akbar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cordell Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akbar rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Walker moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Akbar stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Walker.
Cordell Walker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Walker throws a leg kick which misses Akbar's front leg but catches the back leg as Akbar tries to avoid it.

Akbar cracks Walker with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Akbar has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Walker to stand back up!

It looks like Cordell Walker has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Akbar steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Walker. That one must have hurt.
Akbar throws a series of punches but Walker moves out of range.
Walker scores with a head kick. Akbar tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Akbar has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Highland Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Walker buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Akbar misses with a series of wild punches.

Akbar misses with a hook. Walker ducked under it nicely.

Walker thuds a left hand into Akbar's body.
Both fighters circling a little - Walker finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Walker throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Akbar loads up on a big right hand but Walker slips the punch.
Akbar misses with a straight right.
Walker lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Walker lands a big head kick that sends Akbar tumbling to the mat! Walker takes a step backwards and waves Akbar back to his feet - he wants the finish!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Akbar throws a nice looking combination but Walker bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Akbar is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Walker just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Akbar has gone limp and this one is over!
