Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mikkel Michelsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dakota North (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Felipe Paraventi and Emerson Jorge.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Michelsen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Michelsen slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Michelsen passes North's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Michelsen seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down North for as long as he can get away with.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Michelsen tried to score with a low kick but North checks it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
North wants to clinch.
Michelsen drops down looking for a counter takedown but North sprawls and moves away.

Michelsen feints and as North raises his hands in defense, Michelsen changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Michelsen is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

North is in a horrible position here. Michelsen smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Michelsen is going oldschool here, as he tries to force North to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so North shrugs it off.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

North tries to control the position but Michelsen now has his back.

Michelsen lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
