PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chris Tyga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ching Ching (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tyga kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is bitches and marijuana. Ching Ching is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Tyga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ching Ching!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ching scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Tyga fails with a takedown attempt.
Tyga shoots for a double leg takedown but Ching sprawls well. He's pushed Tyga's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Tyga changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ching tries to avoid it but Tyga manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ching to the ground. Ching escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Tyga. That's going to take a lot out of him.

It looks like Chris Tyga has been cut.

Ching catches Tyga napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Tyga to the canvas!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ching not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Oh Tyga is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ching with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Ching avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Ching tries to free his leg and advance position but Tyga is retaining full guard.
Tyga seems to have got his legs back now.
Ching not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Ching won't allow Tyga to sweep him here.

Ching postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Tyga is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ching defends well.

Ching drops back looking for a leg! Tyga is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tyga manages to kick Ching off! Ching jumps back into Tyga's guard.

Tyga has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ching can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Ching slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Tyga is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Ching scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Tyga looking for a sweep. Not yet Tyga, not yet.
Ching controlling from the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tyga wants to hit a switch here but Ching passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Tyga there!
Tyga tries to reverse the position but Ching maintains control.

Ching with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Ching lands a nice shot to the head.

Tyga is in all sorts of trouble here.
Tyga sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Ching really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tyga. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Tyga wants to improve his position but Ching is controlling well.
Ching is controlling the pace.

Ching is looking for a kimura but Tyga is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Ching to get the leverage.
Tyga manages to get to full guard.
Ching controlling from the top position.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Tyga looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ching is one step ahead there.
Ching is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Ching displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Tyga.
Ching lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.


Chris Tyga's cut is getting worse.
Tyga tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Ching defends well and Tyga ends up having to push Ching into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Ching is looking for the big counter here.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Ching drops Tyga with a big left hand and mounts him. Tyga is in big trouble!
Tyga keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Tyga regains half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ching Ching dominated that round.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Ching circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Tyga tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Ching wins by KO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ching Ching!
