Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Josh Payne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Columbo Dyke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Josh Payne! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Columbo Dyke! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Payne clinches up with Dyke and pushes him back against the cage. Dyke blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Payne controlling the action here for a moment.
Payne misses with a knee strike.
Dyke on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Payne is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Dyke drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Payne gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Dyke drops down looking for an ankle pick but Payne pulls his leg out and moves away.
Payne is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Dyke tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Payne swivels and escapes. Josh Payne has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Columbo Dyke.
That's one minute gone in the round. Payne wants to clinch. Payne moves in looking to clinch but Dyke pushes him off. Payne fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dyke, pushing him back against the cage. Payne drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Dyke gets control of Payne's arms and successfully pulls guard. Dyke will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Dyke is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Dyke tries to land a sweep but no joy. Payne has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Payne trying to stand up but can't free himself from Dyke's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dyke is on top in guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Payne keeping moving, preventing Dyke from controlling successfully. Dyke slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. I looks like Dyke might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Dyke drops back looking for a leg! Payne is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Payne manages to kick Dyke off! Dyke jumps back into Payne's guard. Dyke looks gassed!
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. The fight moves into the clinch position. A knee to the head by Payne.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Dyke wants to break free but Payne has control.

That was a close round but I would say that Josh Payne will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Dyke keeps the fight on the outside. Josh Payne is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nice sprawl there from Payne as Dyke shoots in. Payne shoots in but doesn't get the takedown so Dyke counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Dyke trying to control but Payne is working from the bottom. Dyke sitting in guard, not really doing much. Dyke prevents Payne from getting back to his feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Payne trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dyke is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Dyke passes Payne's left leg - he's now in half guard. Well, if Dyke is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Dyke seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Payne does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Dyke tries to pass the half guard into mount. Payne knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Dyke is trying to control the action in half guard but Payne is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Dyke is working for a submission of some sort.
Payne really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Payne wants to get back to his feet.

Despite being in the dominant position, Columbo Dyke just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Payne tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Dyke counters with a single leg into guard. Payne didn't expect that. Payne is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Dyke is controlling him. Dyke controlling from the top position. Dyke wants to control from the top but Payne keeps moving. Payne being controlled here, momentarily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dyke wants to pass the guard but Payne is keeping the position. Payne is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Dyke is controlling him. Dyke not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Dyke stops Payne from standing up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Columbo Dyke showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Payne's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Payne wants to get back to his feet. Columbo Dyke has got the better of the ground game so far. Both fighters are breathing heavily. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

That's one minute gone in the round. Payne is in trouble now - Dyke has advanced to mount! Dyke controlling the pace for now. Payne's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Dyke sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Payne looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. Dyke is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Payne is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. A bit of a pause in the action here. Dyke controlling the positon. Payne is trying to stand back up. Dyke is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Payne is defending well though. Dyke let's go of the attempt for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Dyke controlling from the back. Dyke tries to keep control of the position but Payne is staying busy.
And that's the end of the fight! Columbo Dyke comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Dyke has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
