The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Santiago Holmes and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mike lands a really nice looking cross but Escobar seems unphased.
Escobar throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mike was covering up waiting for the punch and Escobar finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Mike can't keep his opponent in guard - Escobar advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Escobar is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Mike has managed to free his arm - good work.
Escobar trying to advance position but Mike counters by regaining guard.
Mike wants to get back to his feet but Escobar is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Escobar tries to free his leg and advance position but Mike is retaining full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Escobar is pushing down on Mike's leg trying to pass to half guard. Mike is fighting to maintain full guard but Escobar has managed to sneak the leg through.

Escobar has isolated one of Mike's arms. Mike looking to fight him off but Escobar twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
