The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mosquito wants to clinch.
Mosquito shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Arsscott counters by clinching up.

Arsscott manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Mosquito wants to stand but Arsscott is controlling his posture from full guard.

Mosquito drops back looking for a leg! Arsscott is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Arsscott manages to kick Mosquito off! Mosquito jumps back into Arsscott's guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
A head kick from Arsscott lands but Mosquito takes it in his stride.
Mosquito shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Arsscott defends it nicely.
Arsscott appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Mosquito fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Rigel Arsscott has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rodrigues Mosquito .
Mosquito tries for a takedown but Arsscott sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Mosquito gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Arsscott to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Mosquito pushes Arsscott off and gets back to his feet.

Arsscott decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Arsscott is trying to work for a kimura but Mosquito is defending well.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Arsscott is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mosquito is trying to control but can't.

Arsscott seems to be working for a kimura but Mosquito defends the submission attempt.

Mosquito is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Arsscott pulls his head out easily.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Arsscott throws a strike but Mosquito manages to get a kimura sweep and he's found himself on top with the kimura half locked in! This would be a real turnaround! He's torquing it... Will Arsscott tap??? YES! He's tapped! This one is all over!
