Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, John Mica!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, martin louis!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - louis looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

louis closes the distance and clinches.
louis gets underhooks to prevent Mica's takedown attempt.
Mica tries to pull guard but louis won't allow it.

louis has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Mica uses from the top position.

Mica drops back looking for a leg! louis is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and louis manages to kick Mica off! Mica jumps back into louis's guard.

louis working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mica doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mica manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

louis is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Mica pulls his head out easily.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
louis throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Mica.

Mica shoots for a double leg takedown but louis sprawls well. He's pushed Mica's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
louis rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mica moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

louis works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Mica is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
