Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aryan Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonny Kordic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Aryan Anderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jonny Kordic!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kordic throws a looping overhand right but Anderson ducks down to avoid it.
Anderson connects with a single shot there.

Anderson instigates a clinch.
Anderson keeps control of Kordic as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Kordic wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Anderson drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
A right hook to the body lands for Anderson.

Anderson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Anderson scores with a takedown into Kordic's guard.
Anderson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Anderson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kordic on the ground.
Kordic not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kordic utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Kordic is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Kordic seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Anderson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Anderson moves into the clinch.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Anderson keeps control of Kordic as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Anderson is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Anderson tries to score a body lock takedown but Kordic shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Anderson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kordic's guard.
Anderson is breathing heavily.

Kordic throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Anderson is trying to control the position but Kordic postures up.
Kordic postures up and lands a big shot to Anderson's brow.
Anderson keeping moving, preventing Kordic from controlling successfully.
Kordic lands a couple of elbows.
Anderson tries to land a sweep but no joy.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kordic accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Aryan Anderson dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Anderson connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Anderson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kordic looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Kordic looks frustrated here - throwing a couple of shots from the bottom though.
Anderson tries to move to mount but Kordic blocks the move with his legs.
Kordic gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Kordic flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Kordic slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kordic with a couple of shots from the bottom there - nothing Anderson can't handle though.
Anderson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Kordic manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Anderson tries to lock up and control but Kordic gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Anderson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Anderson has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Kordic escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Kordic!

Kordic is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Anderson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Kordic decides to take the fight back to the feet.

so Anderson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Kordic controls Anderson momentarily but Anderson frees himself.
Kordic has control of Anderson's left arm, preventing Anderson from doing any damage.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kordic is on top in guard.
Kordic wants to control from the top but Anderson keeps moving.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Anderson manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Aryan Anderson will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Anderson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kordic keeps working.
Anderson is really struggling to control Kordic but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Anderson tries to advance to mount but Kordic denies him.

Anderson has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Kordic prevents Anderson from getting the reversal.

Anderson wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Kordic is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Anderson has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Jonny Kordic has got the better of the ground game so far.

Kordic wants to control the pace but Anderson is squirming around nicely.
Kordic might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Anderson kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Anderson is rocked!
Kordic postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Anderson looks a forlorn figure.
Oh Anderson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Kordic working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Anderson turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Kordic off and cradles Anderson's limp body as Kordic celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Jonny Kordic!
