Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 40 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steve Rogers!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Valeri Chadov and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doby listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.

Rogers shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Rogers was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Doby gets caught napping as Rogers dives in and scores a takedown. Doby manages to retain guard.

Rogers is pushing down on Doby's leg trying to pass to half guard. Doby is fighting to maintain full guard but Rogers has managed to sneak the leg through.

Rogers tries to buck Doby off but Doby is having none of it.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Doby smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Doby shoots in and drives through. Rogers sprawls well.
Rogers throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Rogers drives through with a takedown into guard.
Doby is looking to sweep but instead, Rogers has passed into half guard.
Doby is trying to control but Rogers manages to pass to mount!
Rogers wants to control the pace but Doby is squirming around nicely.
Doby tries to get back to half guard but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Steve Rogers showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Rogers got a little sloppy there for a moment and Doby has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rogers has managed to get both his arms back between Doby's legs - danger averted.

Doby escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rogers gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Steve Rogers has got the better of the ground game so far.

Doby lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Rogers has control of Doby's left arm, preventing Doby from doing any damage.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Doby will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
A looping hook to the body misses from Rogers. Doby does a little dance to reset his feet.
Rogers misses with a two punch combination.
Rogers takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Doby's jab looks to have found its range, popping Rogers under the eye.
Rogers throws a right and a left that Doby avoids nicely.

and Doby connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Rogers throws a series of punches but Doby moves out of range.
Doby feinted with a counter takedown.
Doby swings for the body but Rogers moves out of range.
Rogers throws a right and a left that both miss.
Doby lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Rogers throws a nice looking combination but Doby bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Doby dives in for a single leg takedown but Rogers sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Rogers shoots in and gets a takedown into Doby's guard.

Doby has his feet on Rogers's thighs here. He's pushed Rogers off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Rogers screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

A relieved looking Shane Doby thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
