Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mac McNulty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tebato Nakara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nakara is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Melle Mel & Grandmaster Caz - The Battle Is On. Tebato Nakara has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mac McNulty!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Tebato Nakara!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Robert Douchet and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nakara lands a head shot.
A slapping body kick lands there for Nakara.
Nakara tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Nakara bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
McNulty takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
McNulty throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

McNulty attempts a counter takedown but Nakara avoids it well and moves away.
McNulty misses the jab.
McNulty on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Nakara throws a sloppy head kick and McNulty moves out of range easily.
McNulty appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Nakara scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Nakara bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

McNulty shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Nakara napping and manages to drive through into side control!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nakara is looking to reverse the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nakara manages to get back to half guard.

Nakara wants to improve his position but McNulty is controlling well.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
McNulty swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Nakara shoots in looking for a takedown. McNulty tries to sprawl out of it but Nakara keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McNulty manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and McNulty counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
McNulty fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Nakara manages to avoid it.
A solid leg kick lands there for Nakara.
Nakara buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Nakara blocks a jab.
Nakara follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
McNulty avoids the body shot from Nakara.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

and McNulty decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Nakara's guard.

Nakara manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. McNulty manages to get himself to full guard.

McNulty wants to sweep but no luck.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Nakara working his ground and pound in the gym.

McNulty wants to sweep here but Nakara controlling him for the moment.
Nakara lands a couple of digs.

Nakara drops back looking for a leg! McNulty is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and McNulty manages to kick Nakara off! Nakara jumps back into McNulty's guard.

Nakara keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of McNulty's head.

McNulty takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Nakara works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

McNulty is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Nakara wants to lay and pray for a moment but McNulty keeps working.
Nakara is chipping away with strikes.
Nakara lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.


McNulty is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nakara working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Oh McNulty is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Nakara creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tebato Nakara dominated that round.
That's time! McNulty's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


A big right followed by a crushing left from Nakara knocks McNulty out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Tebato Nakara!
Our winner, Tebato Nakara, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
The defeated Mac McNulty had this to say: 'Back to the gym. I am going to train hard then train even harder! I'm coming back with a vengeance!'.
