Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Kermodian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lyoto Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kermodian kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Arctic Monkeys - Mardy Bum. The crowd seem to be enjoying Machida's choice of entrance music: For Whom The Bell Tolls. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 35 - 37 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lyoto Machida!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Edson Gomes and Matheus Silva.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Machida.
Machida avoids the head kick by Kermodian.
Kermodian cracks the inside of Machida's front leg.
Kermodian with a jab.
Kermodian pivots, looking for a leg kick but Machida is out of range and Kermodian settles back down.
Kermodian misses with a hook.
Machida slips under a jab.
Machida misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lyoto Machida seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kermodian is looking to chop away at Machida's legs.
It seemed like Machida was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Machida lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Machida cracks Kermodian with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Kermodian looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Machida finish him?

Kermodian is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Machida throws a nice inside leg kick.
Oh Kermodian is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Machida misses with the combination.
Kermodian tries to clinch there but Machida circles away.
Kermodian seems to have got his legs back now.
Machida batters Kermodian with a massive right followed by a huge left! Kermodian is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Machida lands a final crushing right hand to drop Kermodian to the mat with a gruesome thud! Machida is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!

After the fight, Lyoto Machida was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
