Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Wendel Clark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Altare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clark kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Funeral Hymn - Exodus. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clark misses with a body shot.
Altare follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
The fighters circling - Clark throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Altare cracks Clark with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Clark throws a big shot that misses.
Clark misses the shot to the body.
Altare misses with a head kick.
Altare lands a jab.

Clark instigates a clinch.
Clark throws a head punch that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Altare manages to break the clinch.
Altare moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Altare fakes the leg kick and cracks Clark in the body.
An inside leg kick lands from Altare.

Altare throws a front kick aimed at Clark's knee but Clark avoids it well.

Altare pivots, looking for a leg kick but Clark is out of range and Altare settles back down.

Clark gets tackled into the cage by Altare. Altare maintains the clinch.
Altare is pressed up against the cage. Clark has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Altare down to the mat. Altare avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Altare throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Altare manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Clark manages to get himself to full guard.

Altare has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Altaca gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Altare must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Altare has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Clark to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Altare is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Clark pulls down on the head and he's put Altare to sleep! This one is all over!
