Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Method Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kimo Ovaska (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man comes to the ring accompanied by Method Man - Meth vs. Chef feat. Raekwon The Chef. Ovaska is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Big Balls by AC/DC. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Method Man!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kimo Ovaska!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Ovaska. Man does a little dance to reset his feet.
As Ovaska backs away, Man returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Man throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Ovaska throws a leg kick that is checked
and Man cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Man has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Ovaska has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Man.
Ovaska connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Ovaska moves out of range of the body kick from Man.
Man misses with a leg kick
and Man takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.


It looks like Method Man has been cut.
Ovaska misses with a wild body shot.
Ovaska throws a shot to the body.
Ovaska lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Man at a distance.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ovaska is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Man rather than just go for the knockout.

enabling Ovaska to counter with a crisp jab.

Man moves out of range of the strikes.

Ovaska throws a leg kick which misses Man's front leg but catches the back leg as Man tries to avoid it.
Ovaska tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Man was well out of range. Poor timing from Ovaska.
Man bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Ovaska throws an overhand right that lands on Man's shoulder, as Man tries to avoid the shot.
Man tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Ovaska manages to circle out of the way.
Ovaska has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Ovaska misses with a hook. Man ducked under it nicely.
Ovaska throws a leg kick that is checked
and Man counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Ovaska throws a right hand that misses

and Man counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Man tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Man lands a right hand that snaps the head of Ovaska backwards.
Ovaska misses with a body punch.
Man misses with a hook to the ribs.
Man tries to throw a body punch but Ovaska avoids it by throwing Man back against the ropes.

Ovaska pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Man throws a hook to the side of Ovaska's head but Ovaska sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Kimo Ovaska seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Man clinches.

Ovaska's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ovaska feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Mans jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Man has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Ovaska finds it's way round the side to connect with Man's head.
Ovaska tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Man is able to avoid easily.
Ovaska throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ovaska takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Man throws a front kick that sends Ovaska stumbling back into the ropes.
Ovaska looks to score with a jab to the body but Man is just out of range.
Man wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Man tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Man thows a left - swing and a miss!
Man backing away here, and Ovaska unleashes a leg kick that just misses.

Ovaska was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.

The fighters circle momentarily. Ovaska darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Man pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ovaska now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Ovaska misses with a body shot.
Man waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Ovaska.

Ovaska scores with a shot to the body.
Man stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Ovaska.

Man moves to clinch but Ovaska breaks away

and Ovaska counters with a crisp one two that drops Man! Ovaska thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Man to his feet! Man is in big trouble!


Man is rocked!
Ovaska lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Man out cold! Man is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the ropes! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 7:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Kimo Ovaska!

During a confident post fight interview, Kimo Ovaska thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
Method Man was interviewed post fight and said 'Patty cake patty cake hey the method man Don't eat Skippy, Jif or Peter Pan Peanut butter, cuz I'm not butter In fact I snap back like a rubber band!'.
