The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and McCane counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

McCane is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

McCane won't allow Rothschild to sweep him here.

McCane drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and McCane jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
McCane makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as McCane accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

McCane is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Rothschild doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time McCane.

Rothschild really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McCane. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
