Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cristian Wido (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chad Lane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wido's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, UFC. The key to victory for Cristian Wido has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wido tries to clinch up.
Wido takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Wido shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lane pinned against the cage. Lane gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Lane misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lane tries to bum rush Wido with a series of wild strikes but Wido uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Nice takedown defense from Wido. No joy for Lane on that attempt.

Lane closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Lane is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Wido is just riding it out for now. Lane eventually gives up the hold.

Lane has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Wido is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Lane tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Wido smiles and moves away.

Lane feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Lane wants to control from the top but Wido keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lane shoots in and bounces Wido off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Lane gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Lane will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Wido.

Wido looks for a takedown but Lane sprawls well.
Wido fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Lane fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Chad Lane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Wido counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Lane!
Lane is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Lane bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Lane drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lane jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Wido tries to buck Lane off but Lane is having none of it.
Wido wants to control but Lane postures up.

Lane wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Wido, who protects the arm well.

Lane stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Wido gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Lane moves into the clinch successfully.
Wido is trying to stall.
Wido drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Lane gets the underhooks and prevents it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Wido escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Wido scores with a head kick.
Wido throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lane's waist but Lane gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wido off to one side.

Lane rushes Wido and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Lane tries to pull guard but Wido holds him up against the cage and eventually Lane drops back down to his feet.
Wido is trying to stall.
Lane wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Lane wants to get back to striking at distance but Wido won't allow it.
Wido gets underhooks to prevent Lane's takedown attempt.
Lane keeps control of Wido as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Lane tries to score a body lock takedown but Wido shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lane manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Lane wants to finish this one by submission but Wido is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Lane.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Lane takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Lane tries to clinch but Wido is having none of it.

Wido shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lane's guard.
