The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes swats away the attempt to clinch by Vindben.
Barnes attempts a counter takedown but Vindben avoids it well and moves away.
Vindben wants to clinch up but Barnes keeps it at a distance.
Barnes has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Qube Ground in the buildup to the fight.
Vindben tries to clinch there but Barnes circles away.

Barnes feints and as Vindben raises his hands in defense, Barnes changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Barnes lands a couple of digs.

Barnes chips away with some ground and pound.
Barnes works over Vindben with some ground and pound from guard.

Barnes is standing up over Vindben. Vindben looks to escape but Barnes dives into side control.
Vindben really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Barnes. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Vindben felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Barnes scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Vindben is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Barnes can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
