The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilson closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Wilson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Iwoba.
Wilson shoots in for a takedown but Iwoba shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Wilson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Iwoba is looking for a sweep. Wilson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Wilson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Wilson throws a right and a left that Iwoba avoids nicely.
Wilson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Iwoba tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Wilson paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Iwoba fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wilson manages to avoid it.
Wilson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

and Iwoba counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Wilson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Iwoba counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Iwoba scores with a jab to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wilson shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Iwoba eats them both and turns towards Wilson to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Sloppy strikes from Wilson. Those never looked like landing.
A countering left hand to the body from Iwoba misses.
Wilson is breathing heavily.

and Iwoba counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Iwoba rushes Wilson and presses him up against the cage.
Iwoba lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Iwoba manages to break the clinch.
Wilson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Iwoba pinned against the cage. Iwoba gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Wilson takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Iwoba lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Iwoba fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Wilson on the side of the head.

and Iwoba cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
We've been informed that Iwoba has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Iwoba drops Wilson with a beautiful combination! Wilson stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Iwoba is looking for the KO!

Wilson is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Iwoba feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Wilson sprawling to the canvas! Wilson rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Iwoba finish him?!
Oh Wilson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Iwoba is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Wilson had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Wilson leaves his chin hanging out and Iwoba seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Wilson crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

After winning the bout, Bosco Iwoba thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
