Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Darren Myles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Myles comes to the cage accompanied by Red Hot Chili Peppers - Can't Stop. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Darren Myles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 10 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrew Morgan!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Steve Montenegro and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Myles misses with a jab, cross combination.
Myles looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Morgan connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Myles's hands.


It looks like Darren Myles has been cut.
Myles throws a right hand that misses
and Morgan connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Myles avoids the body shot from Morgan.
Morgan misses with a lunging right hand
and Myles cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.


It looks like Andrew Morgan has been cut.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Morgan has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Morgan throws an off balance right hand
and Myles counters with a straight right hand.
Morgan throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Morgan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Myles tries to counter with a takedown but Morgan is quick to defend against it.
Andrew Morgan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Myles drops Morgan with a nice combination! Myles dives into Morgan's guard, looking to finish!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Morgan wants to stand but Myles is controlling the position.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Myles's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Morgan wants to stand and escape but Myles is having none of it.
Myles loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Myles wants to control from the top but Morgan keeps moving.
Myles throws a strike but Morgan rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Morgan wants to get up but he can't break Myles's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Myles slips under a jab.
Sloppy strikes from Morgan. Those never looked like landing.

Morgan misses with a double jab.
Myles appears to be looking for a big counter.
Myles tries for a takedown but Morgan circles away easily
and Morgan counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Myles throws a combination that misses
and Morgan counters with a stiff right hand.
Morgan lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Morgan cracks Myles with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Myles throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Morgan counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Morgan ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Myles's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Morgan connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Myles scrambles back to his feet.
Andrew Morgan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Morgan lands a jab.
Morgan cracks Myles with a right hand to the side of the head.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Myles bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Morgan throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Morgan misses with a straight left.
Myles shoots for a double leg takedown but Morgan sprawls well. He's pushed Myles's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Morgan cracks Myles with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Morgan lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
A left and a right from Morgan both land. Nice combination.
Myles tries to move into range but Morgan moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Myles lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Morgan takes a swing at Myles's ribcage but misses.
Myles feinted with a counter takedown.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Myles gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
A looping hook to the body misses from Morgan. Myles does a little dance to reset his feet.
Myles is looking for a counter combo.
Myles throws a body punch but Morgan moves out of range.
Morgan connects with a single shot there.
Morgan throws a right and a left that both miss.
An attempted straight right counter from Myles misses the target.
Myles throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Myles fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Darren Myles. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Morgan throws a looping overhand right but Myles ducks down to avoid it.
Myles is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andrew Morgan dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Myles throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Morgan.
A jab from Morgan misses.
Myles swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Myles ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Morgan moves away.
Morgan throws a jab when Myles was well out of range.
Myles drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Myles stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Morgan gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Myles wants to control from the top but Morgan keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Myles prevents Morgan from getting back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Morgan manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Myles misses with a right hand
and Morgan cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Nice body punch from Morgan.
Morgan is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Myles misses with a takedown attempt - Morgan sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Myles scores to the head and body with a nice combination!


That has opened up Andrew Morgan's cut even more.
Andrew Morgan seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Myles on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Myles appears to be looking for a big counter.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Morgan avoids the body shot from Myles.
Morgan changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Morgan throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Myles takes a jab right on the kisser.
Myles staying out of range there.
Myles scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Morgan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The cut above Andrew Morgan's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Morgan connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Myles momentarily.
Morgan throws a right and a left that Myles avoids nicely.
Myles attempts a counter takedown but Morgan avoids it well and moves away.
Morgan jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Morgan waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Myles.

Myles dives in and scores a takedown into Morgan's guard.
Myles stops Morgan from standing up.
Myles throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Myles trying to control but Morgan is working from the bottom.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Morgan uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Morgan fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Morgan misses the shot to the body.
Myles feinted with a counter takedown.
Myles looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
A big right from Morgan misses.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Morgan connects with a body shot.
Morgan bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Myles throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Morgan counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Myles fails to land with a series of punches.
Morgan now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Myles gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Morgan dips to his left and cracks Myles with an uppercut!


Myles is rocked!
Morgan keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andrew Morgan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Morgan steps in with a hook that catches Myles right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Morgan follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Myles looks absolutely devastated.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Andrew Morgan!
