Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Afro Samurai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Prince Malik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Samurai gets caught flat footed, as Malik shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Samurai is on top in guard.
Malik working for submissions but it's allowed Samurai to get to half guard.
Malik looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Malik is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Samurai still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Samurai has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Malik is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Samurai is staying active.

Prince Malik showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Let's hope that Malik has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
