Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Simon Berg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gorg St Pier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). St Pier has chosen Remember the name as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Simon Berg has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Simon Berg seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
St Pier rushes Berg and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
St Pier unloads a knee to the mid-section. Berg lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
St Pier tries to land knees in the clinch but Berg avoids the damage to the body.

St Pier tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Berg wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
St Pier breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Berg connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between St Pier's hands.

It looked like Berg was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

and Berg counters with a straight right hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Berg shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. St Pier eats them both and turns towards Berg to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
No luck for St Pier with that takedown attempt.

St Pier looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Berg is fending him off so far but St Pier persists. Nope, Berg circles away and we're back to standing.
As St Pier looks to move away, Berg throws a big counter combo bu St Pier just gets out of the way.
Simon Berg has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gorg St Pier.

St Pier tries to clinch up but Berg circles away and keeps his distance.

St Pier fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Berg sprawls well initially but St Pier persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Berg has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but St Pier is on him like a limpet, forcing Berg back against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

St Pier shoots in for a double leg but Berg sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Berg counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps St Pier thinking.
St Pier tries to close the distance and clinch up but Berg swats him away and circles back towards the center.

This has been an exciting period of action!
St Pier drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
