PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ultimate Hellbane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raf Camora (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hellbane comes to the cage accompanied by Barkley, Shut Up And Jam: Gaiden theme. Camora comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Eskimo Brothers-Joe Lajoie kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Raf Camora!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Camora gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Camora lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Hellbane looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Camora prevents the takedown attempt.
Hellbane slows down the pace here.
Camora lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Hellbane misses with some punches.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Camora.
Hellbane can't get the takedown.
Camora doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Hellbane working hard to break the clinch.
Camora can't find room to land a body shot as Hellbane controls the action.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hellbane is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Camora is keeping busy.
A short left from Camora.
Camora is pressed up against the cage. Hellbane has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Camora down to the mat. Camora avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ultimate Hellbane. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Camora tries a head kick but it misses.
Hellbane swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Camora closes the distance and clinches.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hellbane drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Hellbane wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Camora swings wildly with an uppercut but Hellbane uses good head movement to avoid it.
Camora tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Camora lands a right hand.
Hellbane has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Camora avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Camora.
Hellbane lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Camora blocks an uppercut.
Camora swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Hellbane has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Camora tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Camora throws a punch but it's blocked by Hellbane.
A left hand lands to the body for Camora.
Hellbane looking to stall.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Hellbane escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hellbane takes a kick to the side of the head.
Camora slips under a jab.
Hellbane misses with a body shot.
Hellbane walks forward, straight into a front kick from Camora.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Camora moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

It looks like Raf Camora has been cut.
Hellbane takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Camora uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hellbane.
Hellbane throws a body shot but no joy.
Hellbane looks to land a right hand but Camora moved out of range.

Camora lands a big head kick that sends Hellbane tumbling to the mat! Camora takes a step backwards and waves Hellbane back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Hellbane is rocked!

It looks like Ultimate Hellbane has been cut.
Hellbane misses with a body shot.
Oh Hellbane is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Camora and Hellbane are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Camora throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Hellbane into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Camora knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Raf Camora!
