Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tracy Macias!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lolo Kranks!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Illya Tyunina and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kranks throws a right and a left that both miss.
Macias was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Macias throws a series of punches but Kranks moves out of range.
Kranks swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Macias seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Kranks clinches up with Macias and pushes him back against the cage.

Kranks manages to break the clinch.

Kranks rushes Macias and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Macias goes for a takedown attempt but Kranks pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Macias tries to keep at a distance but Kranks has taken the fight into the clinch.

Macias tries to pull guard but Kranks forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Macias goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kranks prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tracy Macias. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Kranks escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Macias checks the leg kick nicely there.
Macias staying out of range there.
Kranks swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Macias really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Kranks looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kranks works over Macias with some ground and pound from guard.
Kranks won't allow Macias to sweep him here.
Macias is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Macias seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Kranks on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Macias will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kranks can do anything to dispel that myth.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kranks throws a strike from the bottom but Macias passes into side control!
Kranks throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
Macias in side control lands a decent elbow.
Kranks is trying to get back to his feet.

Macias lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Kranks down.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lolo Kranks dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Kranks gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Macias is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Kranks to keep the fight standing.
Kranks prevents a takedown attempt there.
Macias is looking to break free of the clinch but Kranks has double underhooks.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kranks wants to free his trapped foot but Macias is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Macias is looking to control Kranks's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Macias avoid being mounted?

Macias flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Kranks wants to stand up but Macias has a hold of him and won't allow it.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Kranks must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Kranks controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Kranks postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Kranks has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Kranks stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Kranks looks to clinch
and Macias counters with a good, hard body kick but Kranks shrugs it off.

Kranks gets the takedown into side control.
Macias is trying to control Kranks's posture but Kranks avoids it.

Kranks stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Kranks shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Macias is looking to improve his position.
Kranks really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Macias. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kranks tries to stand but can't do so whilst Macias controls his leg.
Macias is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kranks's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kranks's back!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kranks can't escape the position.
Kranks wants to get back to his feet.

Macias is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Kranks defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Kranks tries to break free.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Macias lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Kranks trying to get back to his feet but Macias is in full control for now.
Kranks trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.

Lolo Kranks showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!



Kranks shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Macias manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Macias is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Kranks has his hands clasped together but Macias extends and breaks Kranks's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Macias.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Tracy Macias!
Lolo Kranks was interviewed post fight and said 'oops, back to the drawing board'.
