The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McAfee shoots in for a double leg but Bowen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Bowen gets a takedown into half guard.
McAfee is staying active underneath Bowen, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
McAfee tries to get to full guard but Bowen has control of the leg.
McAfee wants to stand back up but Bowen manages to pass into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bowen working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Bowen is working to tighten his grip on McAfee's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. McAfee has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Bowen is really squeezing tight and eventually McAfee passes out! Bowen breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
