The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunnarsson throws a right hand that Bowlsbt ducks under and follows up with a left that Bowlsbt also avoids with ease.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bowlsbt accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Bowlsbt felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Gunnarsson has hold of Bowlsbt's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Bowlsbt tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Gunnarsson cranks the arm and Bowlsbt screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Bowlsbt, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
