Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jason Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tapda Mattus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scott comes to the cage accompanied by White Rabbit. Mattus has chosen My heart as his entrance music. Jason Scott has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jason Scott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tapda Mattus!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Roger Salmon and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A thudding body kick lands there by Scott!

Mattus really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Scott. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Scott looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mattus with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Scott connects with a nice short shot to Mattus's temple.

Scott is looking for a kimura but Mattus is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Scott to get the leverage.

Mattus fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
It looked like Scott was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mattus will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Mattus is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Scott is aware though and is defending well.

Scott is looking to take a break and control but Mattus is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Scott lands a couple of good shots and Mattus has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Mattus is rocked!
Mattus wants to escape the position.
Mattus is still in real trouble! Can Scott finish him?
Mattus just trying to survive but Scott is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Mattus seems to have recovered his senses.
Scott is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Scott gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Scott gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Scott apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Scott has closed the distance and engaged Mattus in a clinch.
Scott is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Mattus is defending well for now.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Scott just misses with a elbow thrown towards Mattus's brow.

Mattus is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Scott to keep the fight standing.
Jason Scott has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tapda Mattus.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Mattus wants the takedown. Scott is fighting it off but Mattus persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Scott's guard against the cage.
