Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bertram Harvey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Moses Tompkins!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tompkins clinches.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Harvey tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Tompkins just stands there and leans against the cage.

Tompkins jumps guard.
Tompkins can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Harvey controls the pace.
Tompkins trying to keep a closed guard but Harvey is proving a slippery customer.
Harvey really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Harvey controlling from the top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tompkins is striking off his back. Harvey thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.

Tompkins has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Harvey is on him like a limpet, forcing Tompkins back against the cage.

Tompkins has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Harvey uses from the top position.
Harvey would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Tompkins looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Harvey puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tompkins is trying to control but Harvey passes into side control!
Harvey controls the position from side control.

Tompkins is trying to work for a sweep but Harvey has mounted him!
Tompkins is desperately trying to improve his position but Harvey has a good base and remains in mount.

Tompkins tries to lock up and control but Harvey gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Harvey fails to move to back control.
Tompkins is in a horrible position here. Harvey smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Tompkins tries to hold on but Harvey pushes him away.
Harvey raining down hammerfists from mount.
Tompkins keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Tompkins avoids a series of strikes thrown by Harvey.
Tompkins is looking to get to half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Moses Tompkins dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Tompkins uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Harvey.
Tompkins works over Harvey's head and body with a nice combination.


Harvey is rocked!


It looks like Bertram Harvey has been cut.

Tompkins clinches with his opponent.
Oh Harvey is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Tompkins manages to break the clinch.

Tompkins shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Harvey is trying to defend but Tompkins finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Tompkins is looking for a kimura but Harvey is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Tompkins to get the leverage.

Tompkins stands up from half guard.
Moses Tompkins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Tompkins closes the distance looking for a takedown. Harvey stuffs it but Tompkins still has hold of him. Tompkins picks Harvey up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Tompkins slams Harvey to the floor and that's really hurt Harvey - he doesn't know where he is! Tompkins throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Moses Tompkins!
