Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 15 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeff Gorden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniel Moreira!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gorden throws the left hand but Moreira avoids the punch easily.

Moreira gets the takedown into side control.
Gorden is looking to reverse the position.
You can see the frustration on Gorden's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Gorden tries to bench press Moreira off him but Moreira keeps the position.
Gorden has one of Moreira's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.

I really don't envy Gorden right now.
Gorden has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Moreira doesn't have the hooks in and Gorden manages to turn into his guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Moreira fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Gorden tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Moreira defends well and Gorden ends up having to push Moreira into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Moreira cracks Gorden with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Gorden sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Gorden is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Gorden half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Gorden changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Moreira tries to avoid it but Gorden manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Moreira to the ground. Moreira escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Gorden, as that shot connected.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jeff Gorden will probably get the nod.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Gorden, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
