Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lapu Gatmaitan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Michaels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Michaels.
Michaels unleashes a big counter combination but Gatmaitan bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Michaels misses with a double jab.
Gatmaitan throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Gatmaitan misses with a hook. Michaels ducked under it nicely.
Lapu Gatmaitan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Michaels takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Gatmaitan moves into the clinch successfully.
Gatmaitan has Michaels pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Michaels manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Gatmaitan tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Michaels avoids a wild elbow strike from Gatmaitan.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Michaels wants the takedown. Gatmaitan is fighting it off but Michaels persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Gatmaitan's guard against the cage.

Michaels is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Gatmaitan has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Michaels is looking to defend but Gatmaitan has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Michaels! Gatmaitan pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Michaels taps out and this one is all over!
