Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mikey Hopkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Vos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jake Vos was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yuuki Gou and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hopkins swings widly with a right hand
and Vos counters with a series of strikes. Hopkins will be more careful next time no doubt.
Hopkins fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Vos manages to avoid it.
Hopkins throws a jab when Vos was well out of range.
Nice defenses there by Vos.
The fighters circle momentarily. Hopkins darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Vos might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vos works his way into side control.
Hopkins is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Hopkins has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Hopkins on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hopkins tries to get out of the position.
Vos uses his free foot to push down on Hopkins's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Hopkins.
Vos goes for an armbar but Hopkins turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Hopkins.
Hopkins would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hopkins has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Vos is proving hard to escape from.
Hopkins has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
