Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Duncan Selmy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Coshak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Coshak has chosen Razormind Remix as his entrance music. Duncan Selmy could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Josh Coshak's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Duncan Selmy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Josh Coshak!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paul Aken and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Selmy throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Coshak avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Coshak closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Selmy quickly recovers to half guard.
Coshak is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Selmy has a hand on Coshak's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Coshak takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Selmy tries to clinch but Coshak is having none of it.

Selmy moves forwards but Coshak connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Coshak takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Coshak connects with a nice short shot to Selmy's temple.
Coshak is nestled in close to Selmy, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Selmy is trying to control but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Coshak lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Coshak decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Duncan Selmy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Coshak shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Selmy wants to get back to full guard.
Coshak is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Coshak looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Selmy with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Coshak has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Coshak seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Coshak wants to take a breather but Selmy is having none of it.

Josh Coshak showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Coshak has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Selmy uses from the top position.
Coshak is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Coshak winds up and cracks Selmy with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Selmy tries to get to full guard but Coshak has control of the leg.

Coshak takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Coshak has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Selmy defend it? Coshak steps over the head and cranks it - Selmy is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Coshak!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Josh Coshak!
A very excited looking Josh Coshak rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
