Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Herb Slater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Shinobi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bruce Shinobi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Slater counters with a single leg into guard. Shinobi didn't expect that.
Slater is working Shinobi over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Slater drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Slater jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Slater lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Slater gets to his feet - Shinobi follows without any prompting.

Shinobi tries to clinch up.
Slater throws a big counter combination but Shinobi scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Slater closes the distance and pushes Shinobi back into the cage.

Slater lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Shinobi looks winded!

Slater lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Slater stands up over Shinobi, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Slater could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Slater lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Slater decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Shinobi, up you get!

Shinobi tries to keep at a distance but Slater has taken the fight into the clinch.

Slater escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Slater closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Shinobi out cold! Shinobi corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
