Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Felix Lora (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Park (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Felix Lora could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Carl Park's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Felix Lora!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Carl Park!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Winston Alpacca and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Park fails in his attempt to clinch.
A big left from Lora misses.
Lora throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Park enables Lora to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Park manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Lora sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Park's guard.

Lora really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lora wants to free his trapped foot but Park is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Lora tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Park.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lora takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Park is defending against the submission attempts here by Lora.
Park wants to control but Lora is keeping busy.
Lora throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Lora looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Lora has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Lora lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Lora is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Lora tries to stand but can't do so whilst Park controls his leg.

Lora tries to pass to full mount but Park defends it.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Lora throws a head kick that misses.

Lora closes the distance and clinches.
Park tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Lora avoids it.
Lora pushes Park back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Lora tries for a takedown but Park manages to get underhooks.
Park wants to break free but Lora has control.

Lora decides to pull guard.
Park must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Park wants to stand but Lora is controlling his posture from full guard.
Lora preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Lora is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Lora wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Lora keeping moving, preventing Park from controlling successfully.

Lora is pulling down on Park's head to control his posture.

That's time! Lora's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



The fight moves into the clinch position.
Lora keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Park's efforts to push away.
Park has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Lora is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Park breaks the clinch.

Lora forces Park back against the cage and clinches.

Lora has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Park is trying to keep an underhook but Lora manages to get the takedown into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lora controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Park is breathing heavily.
Lora works over Park with some ground and pound from guard.
Lora controls from within his opponent's guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Park has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Lora is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Park stuffs the takedown attempt from Lora. Lora gets slowly back to his feet.

Lora fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Park to the ground. Lora is now in Park's guard.
Lora is standing up over Park. Park looks to escape but Lora dives into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lora lands an elbow.
Lora remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Park bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Park uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lora.
Park throws a big counter head kick but Lora avoids it with no problem.

Lora gets a double leg takedown into Park's guard.
Park is looking to stand back up but Lora counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Park.
Lora is looking to advance position but Park won't allow it.
Lora will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Lora is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Lora wants to stand but Park has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Lora looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Felix Lora dominated that second round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!



Park tries to keep at a distance but Lora has taken the fight into the clinch.
Park is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Lora to keep the fight standing.

Lora breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lora moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Lora shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Park pinned against the cage. Park gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Park is trying to counter with his kicks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lora misses with a takedown
letting Park counter with a right hand.
Lora throws a push kick but Park slaps the foot to one side.
Park unleashes a big counter combination but Lora bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Park takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Lora moves into the clinch successfully.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Park will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Lora up against the cage.
Park tries to break the clinch but Lora is controlling the position.

Lora gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Felix Lora overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Lora is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Lora wants to stand but Park is controlling his posture from full guard.
Lora pushes down on Park's leg and manages to get into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lora drops an elbow to the side of Park's head.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Lora wants to stand up but Park has a hold of him and won't allow it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Park tries to keep at a distance but Lora has taken the fight into the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Park is fighting off a takedown attempt but Lora is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Park to the mat. Park regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Lora shoots in for a takedown but Park shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Park looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

And that's the end of the fight!
Felix Lora showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Lora has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
