Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Severn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivar Lodbrok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lodbrok has chosen Killing in the name of... as his entrance music. Chris Severn has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Severn fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Lodbrok checks it well.
Lodbrok lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Lodbrok is looking to land body kicks.
Severn attempts a counter takedown but Lodbrok avoids it well and moves away.
Lodbrok drops his hands momentarily and Severn takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Severn takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Severn takes a swing at Lodbrok's ribcage but misses.
Lodbrok misses with a head kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from Lodbrok. Severn does a little dance to reset his feet.
Severn tries to counter with a takedown but Lodbrok is quick to defend against it.
Lodbrok drops his hands momentarily and Severn takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Severn.
Ivar Lodbrok seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lodbrok throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Some bone on bone action there as Lodbrok checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Severn changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lodbrok tries to avoid it but Severn manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lodbrok to the ground. Lodbrok escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Lodbrok throws a head kick but Severn moves out of range.
Lodbrok throws a hook to the side of Severn's head but Severn sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Lodbrok throws a jab but it's blocked by Severn.
Severn is looking to wear down Lodbrok with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Severn lands with a thumping leg kick.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Lodbrok lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Severn has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Severn and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Severn definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Lodbrok replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Severn blocks it well.

Lodbrok throws an overhand right that lands on Severn's shoulder, as Severn tries to avoid the shot.

Lodbrok wants to control the position but Severn says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Severn tries to pass the half guard into mount. Lodbrok knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Severn throwing shots but Lodbrok is blocking nicely.

Lodbrok is trying to improve his position.
Severn cracks Lodbrok with a big right hand but Lodbrok just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Lodbrok is trying to control Severn's posture but Severn avoids it.
Severn connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Lodbrok some visible discomfort.
Lodbrok is looking for a sweep.
Severn cracks Lodbrok with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Severn wants to control but Lodbrok is keeping him busy.
An elbow from Severn crashes against the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chris Severn dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Lodbrok controls Severn momentarily but Severn frees himself.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Severn accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Severn swats away the attempt to clinch by Lodbrok.
Severn tries to bum rush Lodbrok with a series of wild strikes but Lodbrok uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lodbrok swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Lodbrok misses the shot to the body.
Severn lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Lodbrok backs up against the cage.

Severn sends Lodbrok crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Severn is motioning to the referee to let Lodbrok up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Lodbrok fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Severn, pushing him back against the cage.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Severn creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Severn throws a big uppercut that drops Lodbrok! More strikes from Severn and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Lodbrok lies dazed against the cage as Severn celebrates with his cornermen!
