The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lynch shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lawler's guard.

Lynch takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
A little feinted left hand from Lynch on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
A slapping leg kick lands for Lawler.
Lawler goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

and Lynch counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Lawler tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Lynch is able to avoid easily.

Lynch closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lawler to the mat! Lawler manages to get full guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Lynch throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Lawler tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Lynch is in Lawler's guard.
Lynch is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Lynch changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lawler looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Danny Lynch overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Lynch tries for a kimura but Lawler is defending well.
Lynch is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Lawler will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Lynch has hold of Lawler's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Lawler seems comfortable defending it but Lynch has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Lawler is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Lawler is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Lynch couldn't care less - he's delighted!
