The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A good leg kick by Patrick.
Patrick tries a head kick but it misses.
And Jones tries to counter it with a takedown but Patrick pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Patrick really is a fat lump.

Patrick fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jones, pushing him back against the cage.
Jones softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.

It looks like Rashad Patrick has been cut.
Patrick changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Jones fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Jones throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Patrick.
Patrick tries to counter with a takedown but Jones is quick to defend against it.
Jones fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Patrick throws a head kick but Jones moves out of range.
Patrick misses with a two punch combination.
Jones scores with a nice right hand.
Jones drops Patrick with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Patrick! Jones dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
