The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Teliverty scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Johnson is looking for a sweep.
Johnson wants to control but Teliverty postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Johnson manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Johnson stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Teliverty to get to his feet.

Teliverty wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving.

Teliverty really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Johnson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Johnson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Teliverty can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Johnson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Teliverty is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Johnson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Teliverty's back instead.

Teliverty is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Johnson off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Johnson has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Teliverty has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

and Johnson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Teliverty!
Teliverty tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Teliverty turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Johnson off and cradles Teliverty's limp body as Johnson celebrates with his corner.
