The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dick will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Dick throws a right and a left that both miss.
Dick moves out of range of the body kick.
Dick lands a two punch combo.
Smith throws a series of punches but Dick moves out of range.
Dick avoids the head kick by Smith.
Dick misses with the combination.

Smith rushes Dick and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Dick wants to break the clinch but can't.
Smith comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Smith breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Smith escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Smith throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
enabling Dick to counter with a crisp jab.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Smith lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dick circles away quickly and effectively.
A left and a right from Smith both land. Nice combination.
Smith ducks straight into an uppercut from Dick and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Smith maanges to regain guard straight away.

It looks like Travis Smith has been cut.
Dick seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Smith wants to stand up but Dick is controlling him.
Dick throws a big right hand that misses.

Dick drops back looking for a leg! Smith is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Smith manages to kick Dick off! Dick jumps back into Smith's guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Smith has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Dick off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Travis Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Smith.
A combination from Dick does no damage.
Dick throws a right hand that Smith ducks under and follows up with a left that Smith also avoids with ease.
Dick throws a front kick aimed at Smith's knee but Smith avoids it well.
Smith wants to slow Dick down by chopping away at his legs.
Smith tries to clinch up.
Smith misses with a looping left.
Smith lands with a cross.
Dick misses with a double jab.
Travis Smith is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Dick drops Smith with a left right combo! Dick follows him down to the ground into side control.

Smith is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Dick cracks Smith with a big right hand but Smith just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Oh Smith is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Dick remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Smith seems to have got his legs back now.
Smith knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dick on the ground.

Dick has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Smith is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Dick yanks on the arm and Smith is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Dick.
