Smith kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Lazaretto by Jack White. Bruce Smith has the better chin. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Michelsen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Smith forces Michelsen back against the cage and clinches.
Michelsen tries to score a body lock takedown but Smith shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Michelsen tries to break the clinch but Smith is controlling the position.
Smith is pressed up against the cage. Michelsen has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Smith down to the mat. Smith avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Michelsen has managed to clinch.
Smith gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Michelsen.
Bruce Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mikkel Michelsen.
Michelsen has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Michelsen tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Smith's elbow.
