With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Patrick Gore!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We've been hearing reports that Huber has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Huber looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Gore with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Huber is nestled in close to Gore, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Huber is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Gore defends it well.

Gore really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Huber. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Huber thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Gore's head.
Huber tries to stand and escape but Gore is controlling the position.
Huber has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Huber is looking for a kimura but Gore is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Huber to get the leverage.

Huber wants to work for an arm triangle but Gore is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Huber is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gore is just riding it out for now. Huber eventually gives up the hold.

Gore cracks Huber with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Gore clobbers Huber with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Gore throws a right hand that Huber ducks under and follows up with a left that Huber also avoids with ease.
Huber tries to counter by clinching up but Gore breaks away and moves out of range.
Gore lands a nice hook to Huber's body. Huber takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Patrick Gore is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Huber tries to move into range but Gore moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Gore connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Huber momentarily.
Gore lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Alois Huber overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Huber takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Gore throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Huber moves into the clinch.
Huber is pushing Gore up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Huber goes for a takedown in the clinch but Gore prevents it.
Gore tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Huber is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Gore is defending well for now.

Gore uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Huber has time to react.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Gore, as that shot connected.
Huber looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Gore scores with a sloppy right hand. Huber should have avoided that one.
Huber with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Gore to score with a decent uppercut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Huber walks into a straight right hand from Gore.
Gore connects with a body shot that sends Huber's belly button to the back.

Gore uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Huber has time to react.
Oh Huber is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gore paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

And that's the end of the fight!
Patrick Gore comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Gore has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
