Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Christopher Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ziam Quade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Quade tries to keep at a distance but Shaw has taken the fight into the clinch.
Shaw looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Quade works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Quade seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Shaw knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Quade on the ground.

Quade thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Quade sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Shaw's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shaw is looking for a sweep. Quade is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Quade maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Shaw could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Quade has cracked it and Shaw is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Quade!
