Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Quinton Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jordan James!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson throws out a loose jab but James uses good head movement to avoid it.
Quinton Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

James has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Oooooh!!! Jackson has knocked James down with a huge combo! Jackson steps away and waves a wobbly James back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Jackson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Jackson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but James circles away quickly and effectively.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jackson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Quinton Jackson was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
