The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McKiddy swinging wilding here.
Sucker fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McKiddy manages to avoid it.
McKiddy throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

McKiddy gets caught flat footed, as Sucker shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

McKiddy is looking to stand up but Sucker isn't so interested in that idea.
McKiddy is looking to stand back up but Sucker counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by McKiddy.
Sucker is taking a breather. McKiddy says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sucker takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

McKiddy is looking for a sweep. Sucker is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Sucker working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Sucker looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Sucker is looking for a kimura but McKiddy is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sucker to get the leverage.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Sucker cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Sucker lands a big shot there that rocks McKiddy but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
McKiddy is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Sucker is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but McKiddy is surviving well by controlling Sucker's body position as best he can.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sucker is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. McKiddy is in real trouble.

Sucker works to advance to full mount. McKiddy defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
