Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Ska Asap!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 1, fighting out of London, Tim Woods!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Colin Fotheringham and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woods misses with a hook.
Asap shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Woods sprawls well. Woods wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Asap gets slowly back to his feet.
Woods lands a nice looking body shot.
Woods ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Woods swings for the body but Asap moves out of range.
Asap shoots in and drives through. Woods sprawls well.
Woods throws the left hand but Asap avoids the punch easily.
Woods swings for the body but Asap moves out of range.
Woods will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Asap shoots in and bounces Woods off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Asap changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Woods looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Woods is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Woods tries to buck Asap off but Asap is having none of it.

You can see the frustration on Woods's face as Asap controls the position.

Woods connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Asap's hands.
Asap shoots in for a takedown but Woods shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Woods throws a nice looking combination but Asap bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Asap doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Asap fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Woods avoids it really well and circles away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Woods. Asap does a little dance to reset his feet.
A decent looking cross lands there for Woods.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ska Asap seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Woods connects with a body shot that sends Asap's belly button to the back.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Asap tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Woods defends well and Asap ends up having to push Woods into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Woods throws a hook to the side of Asap's head but Asap sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Asap shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Woods defends it nicely.
Woods swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Asap dives in for a single leg takedown but Woods sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

and Woods counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Asap manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Woods on his heels. He'll look to pass Woods's guard now, I'm sure.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Asap in particular looking to stall.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Woods can do anything to dispel that myth.
