The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hearns pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hearns lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

It looks like Dimas Boykiy has been cut.
Hearns is looking to chop away at Boykiy's legs.
Hearns takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Boykiy's coach down at St Petersburg MMA Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Boykiy's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Hearns throws a punch but it's blocked by Boykiy.

Boykiy tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hearns swivels and escapes.

Boykiy closes the distance and pushes Hearns back into the cage.
Boykiy throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Hearns blocks it with crossed arms.

Boykiy is working for takedown but Hearns is calmly controlling the position for now.

With the fighters up against the cage, Boykiy throws an elbow but misses.

Hearns's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Boykiy sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Hearns lunges at Boykiy with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Boykiy's hand.

Dimas Boykiy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hearns slaps away a takedown attempt from Boykiy, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Boykiy takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

That has opened up Dimas Boykiy's cut even more.
Hearns gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Boykiy.

A slapping leg kick lands for Boykiy.

Boykiy looks to land a combination but Hearns avoids it well.

Hearns sends Boykiy crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Hearns is motioning to the referee to let Boykiy up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Hearns clinches up with Boykiy and pushes him back against the cage.
Boykiy lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Hearns lands with a right to the head.
Boykiy is still on wobbly legs! Can Hearns finish him?

The cut above Dimas Boykiy's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Boykiy avoids a wild elbow strike from Hearns.

Hearns breaks from the clinch.

Boykiy takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Hearns cracks Boykiy with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Boykiy tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Hearns pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Boykiy is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
