Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ion Creanga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Russell Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Russell Allen!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Mauricio Rocha and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Creanga dives in and scores a takedown into Allen's guard.

Creanga postures up in Allen's guard and throws a big left but Allen blocks it.
Allen lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Allen wants to get up but he can't break Creanga's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Creanga wants to sweep here but Allen controlling him for the moment.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Allen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Creanga was well out of range. Poor timing from Allen.

Creanga swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Creanga takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.


It looks like Ion Creanga has been cut.

Allen lands a left and a right that send Creanga crashing to the mat, dazed. Allen thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Allen feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Creanga sprawling to the canvas! Creanga rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Allen finish him?!


Creanga is rocked!


Ion Creanga's cut is getting worse.

Allen throws a lazy uppercut

Creanga shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Allen napping and manages to drive through into side control!

That was a close second round but I would say that Ion Creanga will probably get the nod.

Russell Allen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Russell Allen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Allen has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
