The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown throws a nice looking combination but Ming bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
No joy there for Brown, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Chris Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ming shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Ming was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
