Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Thorbjorn Rekdal!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rekdal catches Nystroem with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Nystroem steps into range and cracks Rekdal with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Rekdal flops backwards and Nystroem dives into his guard looking to finish!
It looks like Thorbjorn Rekdal has been cut.
Nystroem drops back, looking for a kneebar! Rekdal looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Rekdal looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Rekdal!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rekdal wants to stand but Nystroem has his arm trapped.
The strikes coming from Rekdal are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Nystroem sneaks back into half guard.
Nystroem regains full guard. Nicely done.
Rekdal has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Nystroem is proving hard to escape from.
Nystroem managing to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Nystroem is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Nystroem isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Rekdal stacks Nystroem on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Rekdal!
Nystroem tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Rekdal wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Rekdal stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Nystroem misses with a takedown attempt - Rekdal sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
A punch combination from Nystroem misses.
Thorbjorn Rekdal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Rekdal tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nystroem paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Nystroem steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Rekdal.
Nystroem gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
It looks like Joakim Nystroem has been cut.
Rekdal looks to throw the jab but Nystroem is out of range.
Rekdal dances in with a quick combination. Nystroem is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Rekdal snaps Nystroem's head back. Nystroem stumbles backwards against the cage. Rekdal steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Nystroem's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Nystroem just didn't come prepared.
