Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Saul Warner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Simeon!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Damien Edna and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Warner tries for a takedown but Simeon sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Warner cracks Simeon with an open hand slap.
Warner stuffs the takedown attempt from Simeon. Simeon gets slowly back to his feet.
Nice sprawl there from Simeon as Warner shoots in.
Warner shoots in looking for a takedown. Simeon tries to sprawl out of it but Warner keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Simeon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Saul Warner. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Simeon shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Simeon thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Simeon has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Simeon in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Warner tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Simeon!
